Diet

The diet of Thicket Tinamou is not known in much detail. Generally, it feeds on fallen fruits, berries, and seeds, including corn, and insects (including dung beetles) (Dickey and van Rossem 1938, Sutton 1951, Leopold 1959). Thicket Tinamou also eats some gravel (Dickey and van Rossem 1938).
