Conservation

White-faced Quail-Dove has a very large geographic range; although the population is believed to be in decline, nonetheless its IUCN Red List conservation status is evaluated as Least Concern (BirdLife International 2014). This quail-dove is considered to be threatened in Mexico, however, because of its restricted distribution (SEMARNAT 2010).

Effects of human activity on populations

Although quantitative data apparently are lacking, White-faced Quail-Dove populations are believed to be declining due to ongoing habitat loss (BirdLife International 2014).
