Breeding
Introduction
Little is known about the reproduction of the White-banded Swallow. The breeding season is not well-defined, with nests having been observed in September, December, February and March (Turner 1989).
The nest of the White-banded Swallow is in a burrow. They are assumed to be an adopted cavity-nester, that is to say that they use burrows already there instead of digging their own. The eggs are laid on grass at the end of the burrow (Turner 1989, Winkler and Sheldon 1993).
