Conservation Status
The White-banded Swallow is considered of Least Concern by the IUCN, because of its very large range and perceived stable population. There are no estimates of its population size, but it usually is described as "uncommon to locally common" (Hilty and Brown 1986) to "common" (Ridgely and Greenfield 2001, Hilty 2003, Schulenberg et al. 2007).
Effects of human activity on populations
Little information. Does not use artificial nest sites.
