Vocalizations
The call is a "pleasant, tinkling, twittered phrase: 'ti-ti-tur' " (Lane, in Schulenberg et al. 2007). Another common vocalization, often given in flight, is a "fine, buzzy 'z-z-z-z-ee-eep' " (Snyder 1966) or a "harsh buzzy bzrrrrt" (Hilty 2003).
