Demography and Populations

Introduction

The White-crested Elaenia usually is considered to be “common,” but there are few quantitative data on its abundance or on population trends, or on survivorship. In one study, White-crested Elaenia was the most abundant bird in a Chilean forest (Jiménez 2000).
