Conservation Status
The conservation status of Yellow-browed Tody-Flycatcher is rated as of Least Concern by the IUCN Red List (BirdLife International 2013). This species has a wide geographic range, although the population is believed to be in decline.
The relative abundance of Yellow-browed Tody-Flycatcher is assessed as "uncommon (easily overlooked)" in Colombia (Hily and Brown 1986), as uncommon to fairly common in Ecuador (Ridgely and Greenfield 2001a), and as "uncommon and inconspicuous" in Peru (Schulenberg et al. 2010).
Effects of human activity on populations
No specific threats to Yellow-browed Tody-Flycatcher are identified, other than habitat loss through deforestation (BirdLife International 2013).
