Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

There are many opportunities for future research on the Yellow-faced Grassquit.
In studying vocalizations, it would be helpful to gather information on the development and phenology of the repertoire. Metabolism, temperature regulation, age at first breeding, life span and survivorship, dispersal, or population regulation are aspects of the natural history that are completely unknown. Molts are very poorly known. Even the basic information on the breeding biology comes almost entirely from studies by a single observer in one small region of this species' range.
