Yellow-green Tyrannulet has a small geographic range, but its population is believed to be stable, and its IUCN Red List conservation status is assessed as Least Concern (BirdLife International 2015).
The relative abundance of Yellow-green Tyrannulet is evaluated as uncommon to locally fairly common (Ridgely and Gwynne 1989) or as uncommon and patchily distributed (Parker et al. 1996).
Effects of human activity on populations
Human activity has little short-term direct effect on Yellow-green Tyrannulet, other than the local effects of habitat destruction; currently no threats are identified by BirdLife International (2015).
