Distribution

Distribution in the Americas

Yellow-green Tyrannulet, so far as is known, is restricted to eastern Panama; accordingly, some authors prefer the English name "Panamanian Tyrannulet" (Gill and Wright 2006). The distribution of this small flycatcher is from the Canal Zone in central Panama east to Darién. It likely occurs in immediately adjacent Colombia (Hilty and Brown 1986), but it is not yet reported from there.

Yellow-green Tyrannulet occurs in the lowlands and lower foothills, up to 2000 m in elevation (Ridgely and Gwynne 1989, Fitzpatrick 2004).

Distribution outside the Americas

Endemic to the Americas.

Habitat

Yellow-green Tyrannulet occupies the canopy of lowland evergreen forest, and adjacent tall second growth (Ridgely and Gwynne 1989, Parker et al. 1996).
