Sounds and Vocal Behavior

Vocalizations

There is little information on the vocal repertoire of Yellow-green Tyrannulet. Ridgely and Gwynne (1989) describe the most frequently heard vocalization, which they characterize as a call, as "a very rapid dree-di-di-dít". Fitzpatrick (2004), describing what may be the same vocalization, describes it as a "short, high pweet! or ptwit!, sometimes followed by [a] short chatter of high, thin notes".

There are few available audio recordings of vocalizations of Yellow-green Tyrannulet; examples can be heard at Macaulay Library and at xeno-canto.

Nonvocal Sounds
