Coelotreron

(Columbidae; syn. Columba Stock Dove C. oenas) Gr. κοιλος koilos  hollow (i.e. treehole-nesting); τρηρων trērōn, τρηρωνος trērōnos  pigeon  < τρεω treō  to flee in fear; "Genus Coelotreron Heine  [Palumboena (!) Bp. 1854]" (Heine 1890); "Coelotreron Heine, in Heine and Reichenow, 1890, Nomencl. Musei Heineani Ornith., p. 275.  New name for Palumboena Bonaparte, 1854, considered barbarous because of its hybrid Latin and Greek construction." (JAJ 2020).
