(Maluridae; syn. Amytornis † Western Grasswren A. textilis) Gr. διαφορος diaphoros different < διαφορεω diaphoreō to disperse < διαφερω diapherō to carry across; ιλλας illas, ιλλαδος illados thrush; "Amytis Lesson is untenable by reason of Amytis Savigny, proposed for a genus of Vermes. In its stead may be used Diaphorillas, from διαφορος, differens, and ιλλας, turdus; the typical species being Malurus textilis Quoy and Gaimard."
