Sathrocercus

(Locustellidae; syn. Bradypterus Evergreen-forest Warbler B. lopezi barakae) Gr. σαθρος sathros  weak, decayed; κερκος kerkos  tail; "Sathrocercus n. gen.    In jeder Hinsicht ein Bindeglied zwischen den Gattungen Bradypterus Sw. und Dromaeocercus Sharpe. Im Färbungscharakter der madagassischen Gattung ähnlicher als irgend einer Art von Bradypterus. Schwanzfedern nicht von normaler Form, sondern sehr dünn zerschlissen, abgerieben aussehend, ungefähr die Mitte haltend zwischen einem normalen Sylviidenschwanz und dem Haarfederschwanz von Dromaeocercus.   Typus: Bradypterus barakae Sharpe."
