Introduction
Most species of Musophagidae (turacos) are bright green or blue, but go-away-birds are primarily gray or brown. In fact, as its English name suggests, the Gray Go-away-bird is entirely gray. This bird's range spans from central Africa, including the wooded savannas of Angola and Namibia east to southern Tanzania and northeastern South Africa. The name 'go-away-bird' is onomatopoetic, based on its alarm call.
