Priorities for Future Research

1. Much remains unknown about the breeding biology of this species, especially nest predation and brood parasitism.

2. There is an urgent need to assess its tolerance of habitat degradation, and the effects of human impacts, including afforestation drives targeting scrub-grassland mosaics, which may affect this species.

3. In urban parks where the species persists, the impact of feral cats on this and other understory birds needs investigation.
