Distribution

Introduction

The Asian Short-toed Lark occurs in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, southern Kazakhstan, northern Mongolia and adjacent parts of southern Siberia, and northern China east to Heilongjiang and south to ca. 34°N.

Historical Changes to the Distribution

It appears that the range of the Asian Short-toed Lark has contracted substantially in Kazakhstan, where it now appears to occur mainly or exclusively in the western part of the range (P.A.).
