Distribution
Introduction
As its name suggests the Moluccan Scops-Owl is distributed widely on the islands of the Moluccas, in eastern Indonesia. In the north Moluccas, it occurs on Morotai, Ternate, Halmahera, Kasiruta, Bacan, and Obi. In the Central Moluccas, this owl has been found on Ambon, Seram, and Buru. The subspecies albiventris is found in Nusa Tengarra (the Lesser Sundas), on Sumbawa, Komodo, Flores, Lembata, and Wetar (8).
