Forages low down in bushes or other vegetation, and on the ground, forages individually or in small groups of fewer than ten. Also recorded as foraging on flowers of a large terrestrial orchid (1).

The only published datum refers to an individual feeding on seeds of Strobilanthes cenua in forest undergrowth (34).
