Field Identification
Identification
A small, stout-, and blunt-billed finch with yellow wingbars and rump, and a whitish eye-ring. There is considerable variation, principally in face markings, between the different subspecies, although none of them are likely to be confused for another species.
Similar Species
The Indonesian Serin is unlikely to be mistaken for any other species in its range, especially given its restricted habitat and elevation.
