About the Author(s)
Introduction
Flemming Pagh Jensen is Research Associate at the Natural History Museum of Denmark, University of Copenhagen. He has over 40 years of experience as an ornithologist in Africa, with a particular focus on montane rainforest birds, especially in Tanzania. He has worked on Sahelian birds in West Africa in the past as well. His core interests are in biogeography, habitat selection, and systematics. Flemming is the author of numerous publications on African birds and co-edited Udzungwa – Tales of Discovery in an East African Rainforest about science, discovery, and the spirit of field work in a montane rainforest.
