Introduction
The Pavonine Cuckoo is a medium-sized, long-tailed cuckoo found in the understory of forests of South America. The Pavonine Cuckoo is known to be a brood parasite, laying its eggs in the nests of other species. But otherwise very little is known of the behavior of this widespread but reclusive species, which is heard far more often than it is seen.
