Introduction

Peruvian Warbling-Antbird occupies the upper Amazonian part of the former ‘Warbling Antbird’s’ range, being found in southernmost Colombia, eastern Ecuador, across much of eastern Peru, northwest Bolivia, and into western Brazil as far east as the Rio Madeira. It comes into apparent contact, albeit with some degree of microhabitat segregation, with Yellow-breasted Warbling-Antbird (Hypocnemis subflava) in southern Peru, but the two are easily distinguished by plumage, as Peruvian Warbling-Antbird is white-breasted.
