This plumage in subspecies fulgidum is characterized by having an olive-gray head.

Adult

Female. Olive-brown head and upperparts, with a reddish-pink rump, and all-whitish underparts.

Male. Glossy purple-blue on head and upperparts, with narrow red band on breast, pale pink-orange below with narrow black central belly-stripe, pale gray-green or olive-gray flanks, and whitish lower abdomen.
