Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

The Scaly Weaver (Sporopipes squamifrons) is a very common species, but has been poorly studied; in particular, there is a need to improve our knowledge of the species' breeding ecology (74), and the extent of cooperative breeding needs to be confirmed. The social structure and roles of individuals in groups would be an interesting avenue for future research.
