Introduction
The Yungas Sparrow is, as its name suggests, a year-round resident of the Yungas scrub and grassland in the Andes mountains of northwestern Argentina. With its chestnut and gray-striped crown, the Yungas Sparrow may resemble a House Sparrow (Passer domesticus). This relatively common species is often seen in small groups, feeding on the ground or singing from the top of low trees and bushes.
