Movement

Generally considered to be resident and largely sedentary (1). However, occasional movements to lower altitudes have been reported in the wet season in Costa Rica (61, 62, 63), and Hilty (64) was unsure whether his occasional records in the Anchicayá Valley, in Departmento Valle, Colombia, were representative of a very low-density resident population, or occasional wandering ‘vagrants’.
