Juvenile.

Juveniles are similar to adults, but with less distinct streaks above and scales below.

Juvenile or Immature Yellow-billed Babbler.

Note greenish-gray iris.

Subspecies T. a. affinis.
Subspecies T. a. taprobanus.

Darker, with grayer wash than nominate on head and upper body. Chin and breast have pale brown and gray so the scaled pattern is much less obvious.
