Birds of the World has a simple but ambitious goal: to be the definitive resource for the collected biology of every bird species in the world. This scholarly, expansive resource is made possible by the combined expertise of a collective of global ornithology experts who are as inspired as we are to tell the complete life history of every bird.

Indeed, this community of contributors and partners is growing. We are excited to announce a new content partnership with the Venezuelan Union of Ornithologists (UVO) (@uvovenezuela on Twitter), an NGO that brings together professionals, students and bird enthusiasts to promote, disseminate and study the birds of Venezuela.

UVO will bring incredible energy and expertise to BOW as they revise and expand species accounts for many of the beautiful and charismatic birds that occur in Venezuela. We are excited and inspired to see what the UVO team brings to the project – and to Venezuela!

Together with all our partners, BOW continues to take shape and represent the very best of globally informed avian science and information. United, we can make a difference for science and conservation!
