Type, Ciccaba albogularis albogularis (Cassin). Subgen. chars.— Size smaller, wing less than 215 mm.; face more loosely feathered; facial rim obscure; loral bristles much exceeding bill; plumage of young barred all over; lower end of tarsus and bases of toes not feathered."
